Age: No idea (Though a rough guesstimate puts her around 17-19 pysically)

Species: homunculous; human form (formerly homunculus; doll type codenamed 'stitchpunk')

Requested Department Assignment:
Field agent

Personality: Where does one begin? 7 is, to many eyes, a very straightforward personality. She's tough, independant, and willing to take the risks that others are too afraid of taking. She's hot-tempered and defensive at times, and she hates being confined. She's not afraid to speak her mind, or act on what she thinks is right. She loathes cowardice and prefers to live by rules she can interpret at need.

At the same time, she has a kind side to her. She is protective and willing to throw her hand into the ring when she's needed. She's friendly, clever, and adaptable, willing to admit when she's wrong, even if it takes a while to make her see it. She'll take a stand when a stand needs to be taken, even if it sets her apart from the rest.

In battle she is calm and collected, and not afraid to throw herself at a foe time and again until she wins, or is knocked completely out of the fight. She might display fear, but she never lets it stop her from achieving the goal she desires.

History, including how they encountered the Aegis Foundation: 7 was made to bring balance to the stitchpunks, according to the Scientist's journal (which took forever to find). She was independant from the start, and displayed a fierce agility that manifested itself in her fighting style. When the humans were fighting their own war, she helped 1 and the rest to find a sanctuary that would keep them safe.

Perhaps inevitably she grew frustrated with the fear of 1 and the way he insisted they make no overt actions, even when all that was left to hunt them was the Cat Beast. In the end she left to bring the fight to the creature, instead of waiting to be found.

Eventually she was joined by the twins 3 and 4, and she cares very strongly for them, protecting them as though they were her children while they catalogued everything they could find in an old library. She never stopped fighting the Beast, and at one point was even captured by the creature and held in a discarded bird cage in the factory. She escaped, taking the skull of the long-dead bird wth her, and sustained serious injury to her back, which had to be patched, and ended up covering most of her number.

On one of her many forays out to do what she could, she discovered a map that led her to finding her old friends 2 and 5, as well as newcomer 9. She saved them from the Cat Beast, slicing the creature's head off with her spear, and indulged in a moment of intimidation with her bird skull helmet before greeting them with a smile. She's not blind to the fact that 9 seems curious and bashful about her, but she gets pulled away by 2's antics towards the now dead Cat Beast and doesn't notice until it's too late that 9 activates the fabrication machine.

7 leads the way to safety, hiding her sorrow at the loss of 2 under anger for 9's thoughtlessness. In an effort to get some answers about what 9 had woken up, she took him and 5 to the library where she and the twins had been hiding out. 3 and 4 were shy for a few seconds, but they quickly began cataloging 9, much to 7's amusement. And whne 9 owned up to his mistake, she felt a bit of respect for him.

The information the twins had, however, was chilling. The fabrication machine was as dangerous as it seemed, and there looked to be no way to stop it from creating new machines to hunt down the stitchpunks no matter their location. 9 mentioned the item that activated it, then, when the twins had no idea, drew it out for them, eliciting a comment from 5 about the design being something 6 always draws.

Unfortunately, 7 initially refused to have anything to do with going into 1's lair. In her mind, his cowardice and refusal to step up and actually do something had doomed them all, and she wanted nothing to do with 1 or his flunky 8. She wouldn't stop them, but neither would she help them.

Inevitably, however, her conscience reared its head, and she followed them discreetly back to the church. It was a good thing she did too, as the pair had also led the bird-monster to the 'sanctuary' of 1. There was much she could do about the attack indoors, but once it got outside again, she simply waited for the right moment, running across broken rooftops to gain the speed. The sun was at her back however, and the bird-monster flung her instead of dying. In the end it took 5 and 6's involvement to run the bird through the propeller of an old, all-but-dead airplane.

Unfortunately, the result of this was the burning down of the church in which everyone had hidden. So 7 led the way to the library, and a new, if temporary, hiding place. Not easily, due to being injured, but it didn't take 5 long to patch her back up.

While they had been away, the twins had discovered more about the item that 9 had initially shown them. It was an old human thing, and while 6 tried to help, his cryptic comments weren't understood. 1's arrogant intereference, and his admission to sending 2 out to (more or less) die, infuriated 7 to a point where she was willing to cause him some serious damage, and likely would have if not for 9's voice calling her back to herself.

Still angered, she ran off to gain some space, and in that intervening time, in came a creature called the Seamstress. It used 2's dead body as a lure and hypnotic device, capturing 8, and nearly catching 1 as well before the twins found her and sent her to rescue them. She managed to keep 1 from being taken, and removed 2's body from the end of the Seamstress, but was captured herself thanks to the creature's many arms. 9 attempted to rescue her, but was unable to get a good hold on the Seamstress, and in the end he was left behind in the library.

Taken back to the fabrication machine, 7 thought that it may well be the end for her, but 9 managed to rally the other stitchpunks into a rescue effort. Though 8 was lost, 9 managed to get 7 out, and destroy the Seamstress. 7 immediately took the lead in getting the hell out, shoving 9 out of the way of an incoming barrel of oil (5's idea for blowing up the factory; very effective), then through one of the fabrication machine's many Watchers, which had raised the alarm and gotten them discovered in the first place.

The factory went up with a very thorough explosion, and they all believed that it was over. They celebrated by playing an old phonograph, and just being a family. 7 thanked 9 for his help, and for the moment, all seemed well.

Alas, it was not, and the fabrication machine survived the explosion. 5 was the unfortunate discoverer of this fact, and while his attempt to warnt he rest was successful, he lost his life in the process. 6 seemed to recognize instinctively the danger of actually destroying the machine, and did his best to warn them, but only 9 seemed to understand the warnings. 7, pained by the loss of so many comrades, believed that it needed to be destroyed, and went with 1, 3, and 4 to find some way of doing that after 9 ran off to find the source that 6 was talking about.

They eventually found a cannon and were using that to take shots at the machine when 9 returned. Despite her own feelings that the machine ought to be destroyed for taking her friends and family, 7 listened to 9, and found herself hesitating upon his explanation of what was really happening. 1 fired the cannon, but by that time the Fabrication machine was close enough to force them to run. Being small and agile, the five stitchpunks made it trhough a barbed wire fence while the Machine became trapped and had to take time to free itself. This allowed 9 to explain a dangerous plan that would allow the talisman to be removed from the Fabrication machine and used against it. 7 was against it, despite knowing what little choice they had.

He managed to show them the sequence before the machine was freed, and found them, forcing them to run from their temporary hiding place. Instead of attacking them directly, the machine used a flamethrower to ignite the stash of bullets and grenades they'd been hiding among. While they made it out of the tunnel, it was not without incurring some damage. 7 once again attempted to talk 9 out of his plan, but in the face of his logic, and the fact that he was owning up to his own mistake, she wasn't able to stop him.

In the end, it wasn't 9, but 1 who made the sacrifice, shoving 9 out of the way and relinquishing his own soul piece. 9 was then able to remove the talisman from the machine, and use it to destroy the machine by absorbing the remaining four souls of his friends.

The machine fell, defeated and destroyed, and for a moment 7 thought 9 to be destroyed as well. Her relief was palpable when he was alive, and the hug was entirely spontaneous.

It wasn't over yet, however, and the four remaining stitchpunks worked together to build a small memorial for their friends. 9 activated the talisman one more time, releasing their souls to go onto the next thing.

But even with the main fabrication machine destroyed, some of its creations lingered, and they were none too fond of the stitchpunks. When some of them found and attempted to trap teh twins a few months later, 7 took severe exception to that, and launched an attack. She was jumping down to try and stab the thing from behind when she fell through the Nexus, and upon arrival on the other side, her makeshift spear actually impailed a car engine instead. Oops. Luckily it was a parked car, but still. It wasn't slow in attracting the angry car owner, police, and an Aegis agent or two.

Any Special Abilities and Notable Skills: She is extremely agile, fast, and precise when it comes to a fight, almost preternaturally so. Also scarily inventive. Give her a few scraps of wire and a garbage can lid, and she may well give you back a stabby shield.

Writing Sample:

There was nothing new about flinging herself into an attack. It might have been a few months since the destruction of the Fabrication Machine, but the effects of such a thing had lingered, and some of its creations seemed to have a vengeful life of their own. That was really the only explanation that made any sense, seeing as every time they ran across one another, the machines were hell-bent on finding a way to break the four of them apart.

It had been unlucky to get separated from 3 and 4, and 7 wasn't entirely pleased about it. 9 could take care of himself for the most part, but the twins were not so capable. Anything threatening them had to answer to her.

She ran along the top of a crumbling brick wall towards to two trapped stitchpunks and the Seeker machine trying to get at them, spear held low and at the ready. At the end of the wall she leaped high, raising the spaer overhead. The sensation of falling was familiar, and it was a controlled enough fall. There was no fear.

Until the darkness enveloped her. She was still falling, but now it wasn't a fall she was controlling, it was a fall that was just happening, and that wasn't good. Light split through, and she closed her eyes on reflex, even as she felt her spear slam heavily into something metal, her feet thumping down hard. She had hit it!

.....wait. What had she hit?

Do you understand that this game is serious, and that horrible and unfair things might happen to your character? Yus~

Questions/Thoughts/Comments:
I blame Ria and Dakie for this. Whole-heartedly and with a ton of amusement.
